Bansk Beauty

Bansk, a private investment firm focusing on consumer brands, came to us with a desire to create a sub brand focusing primarily on beauty and haircare brands. Enter Bansk Beauty.

Its goal was to appear at home in the beauty industry, shedding the baggage of a traditional PE firm. It was a careful balance: to be caring, but not delicate. Knowledgeable, but not arrogant. Experienced, but not stuffy. Powerful, but not overbearing. To allow its brands to shine—and not overwriting what makes them unique.

We began with a strategic foundation–conducting stakeholder interviews, landscape research, and brand strategy development to define Bansk Beauty’s mission, goals, and essence. Through this process, we landed on the concept of “pollination” as a guiding metaphor—representing empowerment, connection, and sustainable growth. This idea resonated across all aspects of the brand, reinforcing its role in cultivating brands to thrive.

  • At the core of this vision was our established brand message: “We nourish, so you flourish.” Just as bees pollinate flowers, allowing them to take root and bloom, Bansk Beauty provides the support and collaboration necessary for brands to establish themselves and succeed. This philosophy also extends beyond business, reflecting how self-care fosters kindness toward others and, ultimately, a broader sense of care for the environment. Like pollination sustaining ecosystems, Bansk Beauty embodies the interconnectedness of personal well-being, community, and the planet.

    The Bansk Beauty icon is layered with storytelling. While it functions as a BB monogram, it also holds deeper layers of meaning. A flower and a pollinator come together to symbolize growth and nourishment, while a central embedded symbol represents two interwoven shapes, reinforcing the idea of longevity through partnership. This speaks to Bansk Beauty’s role in cultivating lasting relationships with brands, employees, and partners.

    The color palette is rooted in nature, with a strategic foundation built from Bansk’s master brand blue to maintain visual continuity. Beyond this, the palette is inspired by a diverse garden of flowers, each contributing to a sense of vibrancy and growth. This reflects the idea of Bansk Beauty as an ecosystem, where each brand, like a flower in a garden, is nurtured to flourish.

    Our work extended across a comprehensive brand system, ensuring consistency and impact across key touchpoints. From print and packaging to a fully realized website experience, the design language reinforced Bansk Beauty’s vision—creating a brand that not only supports growth but embodies it.
