TimeSlips

Founded by MacArthur Fellow Anne Basting, TimeSlips is a non-profit committed to bringing meaning and purpose into the lives of elders through creative engagement.

We worked with Anne and her team to entirely rebrand the organization, collaborating with illustrator Violeta Noy to bring the design system to life across each brand touchpoint. Then, we expanded upon our branding – and in collaboration with Anne’s team, Midwest Common, and Avanti – created the TimeSlips Imagination Kit, a set of storytelling cards and prompts to help people connect with those living with dementia and Alzheimer's.

When the COVID crisis hit, among those most impacted were the elderly in residential care. Suddenly, they couldn’t have visitors or see family. Since TimeSlips’ mission is all about creating connection, we leapt into action, designing and printing 38,500 postcards to 246 locations all over the U.S. for people to fill out and mail. As a result, thousands of lonely people received cards, reminding them that although they might be physically alone right now, we’re all still here with them.
